Saints celebrated on the 29th of June
SAINT HILARY, BISHOP OF PADUA
Saint Hilary (Hilarius), the 17th bishop of Padua, was Roman by birth. He lived and died in the 4th century; usually 346 is stated as the year of his death, while some writers say that he died in 368 or 378. The Bollandists* relate that the Italians call him S. Ilario or S. Elero, and elaborate on the church and monastery built in his honour. Ferrarius* mentions him on September 10; but the Bollandists* list him on June 29 along with Saint Leolinus, who is considered the 11th bishop of Padua.
